Aim:

Indian founder in the midst of the pandemic wanted to create a platform that is more intuitive and easy for students and teacher’s to get connected. So he came to me with one goal in his mind, to make a C2C model for a tutoring platform that is seamless and very easy to use, without any extra bits & pieces.

Project Description:

FabTutor is an SPA, designed to connect students and tutors to make this Tutoring platform the number one space for higher learning! FabTutor connects students with tutors whenever, wherever with help on every subject on demand.

FabTutor has a C2C business model that facilitates commerce between private individuals(students and tutors), Students pay for the lectures taken and Tutors get paid for taking them. It was made by targeting tutors to grow a passion for teaching and expand their network. With fully customised appointment scheduling functionality the lectures can be scheduled as per need.

We created a list of the features which included the following things:

Features:

• Personalized Login and Dashboard: Personalised login is provided for students, tutors, and admin. To keep track of the appointments scheduling and more.
• Listing for students/tutors: It’s not just the listing, it’s the module for Students and Tutors on the admin side to manage them. So that admin can block them if they are violating any policies.
• Manage Subjects: In this vast pool of teaching fields, there are new subjects added every now and then. so there is the module for Subjects from which the admin can add new subjects.
• Verification and Approval for Tutors: There is a verification process for tutors, On signup Tutors are asked to submit their documents which would then be verified by the admin.
• Detailed Tutor Profile: After registration, tutors are asked to fill up their profile data where they are asked for their Bio, Education, Experience, Certifications, Subjects Taught, Languages spoken, Teaching mode, etc. So that students can freely choose tutors who are the right fit.
• Job Manager: Tutors can post Jobs(lectures) where they highlight their special class for a subject. The special class has an expiry date. So students interested would have to be quick to grab their seats.
• Appointment Scheduling: An Calendar is provided for tutors and students to schedule a lecture, where they can set a date and time for availability and book an appointment.
