Aim:

This was more of a renovation of their existing E-Commerce website. Well, the design is a bit complex, as it was not made by us, they just wanted to change the backend from WordPress to Laravel, which we accomplished, easy pizy, lemon squeezy.
They sell skins, bike skins, not human or animal 😐

Project Description:

DIY SeatSkins is an eCommerce website that sells fully customizable seat upholstery kits for a variety of major personal watercraft manufacturers.
Customers can choose a wide range of products with few taps and orders will be delivered to their doorstep within the scheduled date. Customer saves lots of time from online shopping, They can order anytime from anywhere.

DIY SeatSkins has the functionality of a global payment gateway – Paypal. With PayPal integrated, customers can order the product from anywhere in the world. DIY SeatSkins is provided with an Admin panel where they can look at order details, keep track of shipping, do an analysis of their income, etc.

Scope:

We created a list of the features which included the following things:

Front:

• Ecommerce look and feel with cart functionality: Well we cant have a ecommerce website without a cart obviously. The session based cart is implemented for the customers which will save the cart items per session.
• Dynamic price calculation based on shipping location: DIYSeats supports world wide shipping. Thus as per the shipping location the shipping cost are synamically calculated and added to the total billed amout on the fly.
• Global payment gateway integration – Paypal: PayPal is the faster, more secure way to pay online. Out of all the payment gateway, we chose Paypal as developers, as it is easy to integrate, secure and robust.
• Contact Us support for any issues: Who doesnt have this nowadays, so yeah, why not. Support for customers is utmost important.
• Friendly interface and easy navigation: A friendly front interface which makes the user experience elegant, and customers should just want to hangout on the website more.

Admin:

• Inventory management system: This is a must thing to have for an ecommerce website, Admin here can manage produts, items and its stock for the site. We would want them to run out of things.
• Manage Admin Profile: Everyone as a profile page, Why should Admin left out? We have also provided a profile for admin where he can change basic details.
• Review/Confirm orders and shipment: Orders are the main thing in ecommerce, Admin here will have an email notification as soon as a new order comes in.So he can then review the order, confirm it and start shipping effective immidiately.
• Track shipment: Tracking of shippment is equally important as the product itself for both the buyer and the seller. We have a tracking functionality built which can help both party to help track the shipment easily.
• Graphical representation of registrations/income for analysis purpose: Implementation of Charts like Pie chart, Line chart, Column chart representing total Orders, Earnings, Enrollments, etc. So admin can visually analyse the statistics and plan for future development and we can earn some more money you know! 😛
